Spotify adds “Available Offline” mode
|Spotify has for a while offered the ability to download tracks for listening offline but it has relied on manually downloading playlists. Now the process has been made much easier, with a single “Available Offline” mode.
The offline toggle is located in the songs section of the latest update to the Spotify iOS app and a single tap of it will make all your saved songs – anything in a manual or ‘album’ playlist instantly available offline (download time notwithstanding).
There is a track limit but at 3,333 songs per device it should cover most users’ daily listening needs. Tracks are available offline for up to 30 days before you’ll need to reconnect and authenticate them.
The option is also available to Android users who should be getting the latest version as part of a forced security upgrade.
