Rosetta Stone creates Futebol app in time for World Cup

Translation specialist Rosetta Stone has embraced the World Cup spirit and released a Futebol Edition of its travel app.

The app provides easy translations for basic football terms such as a free kick (um cobranca de falta) and a slide tackle (um carrinho), as well as more general travel phrases such as for finding food and drink or a place to stay.

The free app, which is available for iOS and Android, runs offline so is available whenever and wherever you are, without racking up a huge data bill.

Alternatives to Rosetta’s offering include Brazinglish, which is again free and offers a more tongue in cheek set of phrases for you to use.
